  • التحليل غير الخطى للانهيار المتتابع للمنشآت الخرسانية باستخدام طريقة المسار البديل [Added title page title]

Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering Summary: Progressive collapse (PC) is a situation of transfer the failure from element to another when removing the key element of structure due to extraordinary loads. An R.C. commercial 7-storey building designed according to ACI-318 to resist vertical and lateral loads only is checked in Appendix D in Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 2010) against PC based on Tie Force (TF) method. Because the building failed to resist PC, so UFC 2010 suggests a strengthening scheme to resist PC based on TF method. A fully dynamic analysis was done using CSI Perform Collapse program based on Alternate Path (AP) method to check the adequacy of the building to resist PC. A comparison between static and dynamic analyses is performed. Also, the effect of vierendeel action is studied in addition to the effect of using the wall on the results.
