Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Power Engineering Summary: The thesis presents a numerical analysis using EES of the thermal performance of a latent heat storage system composed of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger where the heat transfer fluid (HTF) flows in the tube-side and the phase change material filled the shell-side. The solution of the equation is to simulate and study the effect of operating conditions such as the inlet temperature and the flow rate of the HTF and the geometric configuration of the system. The effect of the thermal properties of the heat transfer fluid and the phase change material has been studied by using different HTF and PCMs in the simulation
