By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextLanguage: English Publication details: Cairo : Aya Mohamed Abdelghany Ahmed , 2020Description: 95 P. : charts , facsimiles ; 25cmOther title:
  • تطوير كبسولات بوليمارية متناهية الصغر قابلة للتحلل البيولوجى لنقل الدواء الذى يستهدف الميكروب الحلزونى [Added title page title]
Subject(s): Online resources: Available additional physical forms:
  • Issued also as CD
Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Biochemistry Summary: In this study we used double emulsion technique to prepare spherical shaped polymeric nanocapsules composed of amoxicillin trihydrate as the core substance and a biodegradabe biocompatible poly ({uF065}-caprolactone) as the shell material. The hydrodynamic diameter of the prepared nanocapsules was 287 ± 8 nm with positive zeta potential. In vitro release study indicated that the polymeric nanocapsules showed the least release at pH 1.2 simulating the gastric fluid while increasing release at pH 7.0 where the H. pylori resides. The in vitro antibacterial assay showed better efficiency for Amoxicillin nanocapsules than the free drug. Cytotoxicity studies showed least cytotoxicity for the polymeric nanocapsules in comparison to the amoxicillin
