Since the late of 1999 , new systems of high resolution satellites were lunched to announce for the beginning of new era related with this systemsIKONOS , QuickBird , Orbview , EROS , and others , are the members of the high resolution satellites family , that enable the users to get one meter resolution space imagesThis , in turn , facilitates the dealing with the metric plannemetric accuracy of the satellite image in many applicationsAn important process that have been applied on satellite images is the geometric rectificationBy this important operation , the geometric distortions that are contained in flat area (which is covered by the satellite image) can be removedIf the test area contains relatively high altitude variations , the distortions that are resulted from the relief displacements must be removed , so orthorectification operation is performed to remove these distortions and produce orthoimage
