The samples collected from private broilers, breeders and layer's farms located at different Egyptian governorates during the period between 2009 and 2012. Samples were examined for revealing the incidence of necrotic enteritis in both cases using routine colonial morphology and biochemical tests. The results were confirmed using api / RAPID ID 32 A which revealed that from the total 236 isolates identified by traditional method only 231 isolates were clostridium perfringens with 97.9% specificity
