Hospitals in developing countries suffer from limited financial and competent human resources . This situation calls for the implementation of a scheme by which priorities are assigned to devices based on their risk level . Some of the existing risk classification models express risk in terms of equipment function , maintenance requirements and physical risk . Other models misclassify critical devices as low risk because these models classified the devices based on its physical risk only
