By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextLanguage: English Publication details: Cairo : Kholoud Khaled Abdelmonem Essawy , 2015Description: 225 Leaves : photographs ; 30cmSubject(s): Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - German University - Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research - Department of Graphic Design Summary: For many growing up in modern Egypt, globalisation and aspiration means inhabiting two cultural systems simultaneously. The result is a vague and sometimes contradictory sense of what it is to be Egyptian. Visual environments-informational, commercial, sacred and historical-stand as a challenge to a search for a rooted cultural identity.
