Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - National Cancer Institute - Department of Oncology-Medical Summary: The current study is retrospective study that reviewed files of patients diagnosed with acute leukemia in NCI, Cairo university from January 2011 till December 2012.only patients with positive cultures were included in this study, they were 85 patients, relation between survival and different factors in leukemic patients were studied. Including age, gender, type of leukemia, types of antibiotics, types of treatment, the use of antifungal and the presence of chest infection, also the relation between these factors and duration of febrile episodes was studied
