Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics Summary: In the management of infertility associated with endometriosis, clinical decisions are difficult because few Randomized Controlled Trials have been conducted to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of the various forms of treatment Effective, evidence-based treatments of endometriosis-associated infertility include conservative surgical therapy and assisted reproductive technologies. (Pallacks et al., 2017) Aim of the work We conducted the present retrospective study in order to measure the correlation between serum CA125 levels on day 2 stimulation with IVF/ICSI reproductive outcomes in normal responders infertile endometriosis patients. Patients and Methods The present study was retrospective study that was conducted on 222 infertile patients, seeking IVF and ICSI treatment in outpatient clinic in the IVF unit in the Kasr Elainy hospital. Eligible patients were divided according to serum CA-125 level into the following groups: High group: which included patients with serum CA-125 > 40 U/ml; and normal group: which included patients with serum CA-125 {u2264} 40 U/ml. Results In the present study, the mean age of the included patients was 26.47 ±2.5 years and the mean BMI was 29.7 ±4.8 kg/m2. In our cohort, the majority of the patients were nulliparous and 30% had history of one or more abortion. In the present study, the mean implantation rate was 18.65 ±27.4%. Ninety-four (47%) patients had chemical pregnancy and 64 (32%) patients had clinical pregnancy. Regarding the primary outcome of the present study, there was statistically significant association between CA-125 level and IVF outcomes. Patients high CA-125 level had higher implantation rate, chemical pregnancy, clinical pregnancy, and number of sacs
