This thesis depends mainly on the chemical sturacture of laser dyes and the nature of interactions between dye molecules and polymer host molecules on optical and photostability of laser dyes. Hence, fluorescein, allyl fluorescein and diallyl fluorescein are three laser dyes doped, covalent bonded and cross-linked respectively to two different homopolymer hosts [2-hydroxy ethyl methacrylate (HEMA), and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA)]. Different polymeric samples with different concentrations ranged from 8x10-5 mol/L to 1.2x10-3 mol/L of the three dyes were prepared
