Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Department of Microbiology Summary: Vaccines for important mycoplasmal dieases including contagious agalactia are necessary especially under desert condition due to economic impacts with these diseases . Mycoplasma local field isolates were recovered from healthy and diseased sheep and goats . They were identified by specific PCR as M. agalactiae (8) M. bovis (8) and M. putrefacians (2 ). M. bovis isolates were subjected to more than one PCR to confirm this unusual isolation
