This clinical study was conducted to evaluate the effect of occlusal reduction on post-operative pain in patients with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis and symptomatic apical periodontitis treated in a single-visit root canal treatment using Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) at 6, 12, 24, 48-hrs post-operatively. The study design was a double blinded randomized clinical trial as study participants and assessor didn{u2019}t know which intervention has been received. Fifty-two patients complaining from symptomatic irreversible pulpitis with symptomatic apical periodontitis in posterior maxillary and mandibular teeth were included
