Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Commerce - Department of Business Administration Summary: Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is about businesses and other organizations going beyond the legal obligations to manage the impact they have on the environment and society. In particular, this could include how organizations interact with their employees, suppliers, customers and the communities in which they operate, as well as the extent to which they attempt to protect the environment. The research aims to evaluate the level of CSR in Egyptian commercial banks and its impact on their financial performance. The researcher divided the research into two parts; in the first part, the researcher used the questionnaire tool to test the level of CSR according to 4 dimensions ( Responsibility toward the workplace, responsibility toward the marketplace, Responsibility toward the environment, and responsibility toward the community). 292 valid questionnaires were collected through a judgement sampling technique from Egyptian commercial banks listed in the Egyptian stock exchange (EGX). The researcher used SPSS, one sample T-Test, to evaluate the level of responsibility in each dimension. In the second part, the researcher used S and P/EGX ESG to measure CSR and banks{u2019} financial reports from 2011 to 2015 so as to evaluate financial performance (calculating by ROA, ROE, EPS, NII and Non-interest income. The researcher then used SPSS (ANOVA test) to test the influence of CSR on the financial performance
