Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Physical Therapy - Department of Basic Science Summary: Background: The quality of service delivery has become an important focus of attention for every one employed in health care. This has led to improving services delivery and patients' quality of life. The purpose: to investigate the difference in the patients' satisfaction between accredited (Dar El Shefaa and Nasser Institute) and non accredited (Omm El masryeen, Boulak El Dakror and Imbaba) hospitals in order to assess areas of weakness as well as areas of strengths to improve the quality of physical therapists practice. Subjects The study was done in march 2015 till august 2015, 400 patients participated in this study where their ages ranged from 17 to 82 years old and were taken from 5 hospitals from both sexes divided into two groups, group (A) included 200 patients from accredited hospitals, and group (B) included 200 patients from non accredited Hospitals. Methods: the patients' satisfaction was assessed by the questionnaire of the American physical therapy association. Results: of this study revealed that chi-square values are significant in all 19 item, chi-square value between (119.853 - 333.945). Conclusions: from the findings of the current study it was concluded that the patients' satisfaction in departments of physical therapy in accredited hospitals exhibits higher level of satisfaction than a non accredited hospitals.
