Cancer remains a national and international health problem. Accordingly, screening of natural products as anti-cancer agents is very initiative field of studies in several countries with diversity of gardenia. The present study assessed the cytotoxicity of some Egyptian flora and pure natural compounds like (cerulinin, chrysin, honikiol, limonene, mevinolin, resveratrol, salicin, vit. A, vit. C and vit. D3) against solid tumor cell lines (Caco-2, MCF-7, HepG2, Hela) and leukemia samples. Mevinolin showed most effective response and its mechanism has been explorated
