  • Issued also as CD
Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Power Engineering Summary: Mixing ventilation system is the current system that works in the aircraft cabins, moreover, this system needs to be improved, as the number of passengers has increased recently. In addition, transmission of respiratory infectious airborne diseases inside the aircraft cabins has always been a topic of many studies, especially cough and sneeze droplets that are induced from an infected passengers, because they have a detrimental effects on other passengers inside the cabin during flights. This work proposed three new air distribution system besides an innovative system in order to prevent transmission of cough and sneeze droplets inside the cabin using computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulation commercial tools ANSYS FLUENT V18.1 and dynamic mech analysis
