Encouraged by the marked cytotoxic activity exhibited by some 2-substituted benzimidazole derivatives, adapting different mechanism of actions, it seemed of interest to design and synthesize novel VEGFR-2 and c-Met kinase dual inhibitors bearing 5-nitrobenzimidazole scaffold aiming to explore potential anticancer agents
