The aim of the study was to show the effect of endometrial scratching (endometrial injury) in the cycle preceding the controlled ovarian stimulation cycle in patients with PCOS undergoing first trial of IVF/ICSI. A sample of 229 patients was obtained, half of them were candidates for endometrial scratching in the cycle preceding stimulation cycle, while the other half were controls. All patients underwent controlled ovarian stimulation using antagonist protocol. Chemical pregnancy rate was 63.2 % in the first group and 61.7% in the second group. There was no significant difference between the two studied groups regarding the proportion of chemical pregnancies (p = 0.825). So endometrial scratching apparently doesn{u2019}t improve chemical pregnancy rate in patients undergoing their first trial of ICSI
