Background:Patients with Psychogenic non epileptic seizures (PNES) make up a vastly heterogeneous group in terms of sociodemographic background, personality pro{uFB01}les, comorbidities, response to treatment and outcomes suggesting a multifactorial etio-pathology of PNES. This renders the early recognition and correct diagnosis of PNES a tough mission. Method: 80Patients with epilepsy (PWE)were recruited consecutively and recruited from Kasr Al Ainy Cairo university epilepsy unit (CUEU) outpatient clinic and classified into 2 groups, 40 patients with epileptic seizures only (pure epilepsy group) and 40 patients with both epileptic seizures and documented psychogenic non epileptic seizures (PNES) (mixed epilepsy group). The Socio-demographic factors, psychological factors and clinical variables were examined and compared between both groups aiming to identify predictors for developing PNES inPWE
