Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Physics
Usage of natural rubber only to produce rubber products becomes disadvantages in economical and environmental aspect. It will be more efficient if the rubber is reinforced with filler as its additive without affecting its properties. Moreover, the increase interest in using natural fillers as reinforcement in natural rubber to substitute the conventional fillers has become one of the main concerns in nowadays. The main goal of this research is to study conductive composites of nanocarbon / natural rubber during uniaxial and biaxial stretching of such systems, then to compare the mechanical properties using recent theories in the two modes of extension (uniaxially and biaxially). Also measurements of electrical conductivity during uniaxial and biaxial deformation of electrically conductive NR loaded with FEF contents (10,20 up to 90 Phr). Samples were prepared by a two roll mill of 300 mm length, 170mm diameter with speed of slow roll 18 rev / min and gear ratio 1.4. The prepared compounded rubber was left for at least 24 hours before vulcanization. The vulcanization process was conducted at 140{u00BA}C under a pressure of 40Kg / cm² for 20 min
