Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science- Department of Geology Summary: The present thesis try to assess the environmental pollution of bottom Nile sediments of Delta Branches; Rosetta and Damietta. these sediments are mainly composed of sand, little silt and rare clay. The main heavy minerals of the sediments are amphibles, epidote, titanite, barite and zircon . The main opaque minerals are Fe-Ti oxide with minor sulfides in addition to Quartz and carbonate as light minerals
