We evaluated the efficiency of shear wave elastography technique in early detection of cartilage affection by JIA. SWE may be complementary to conventional imaging methods (US & Power Doppler) for the evaluation of cartilage. SWE together with power Doppler and clinical data of patients may help in treatment regimen modification and early detection of cartilage damage; thus deacreasing the number of physical disability outcomes in patients with JIA
