By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextLanguage: English Publication details: Cairo : Mohamed Kamal Ouda , 2014Description: 121 P. : facsimiles ; 30cmOther title:
  • دراسة عن طريق المحاكاة و التجارب العملية للتحويل الحفاز لثانى اكسيد الكربون الى مواد لتخزين الطاقة المستدامة [Added title page title]
Subject(s): Available additional physical forms:
  • Issued also as CD
Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Power Engineering Summary: With a rapidly growing global energy demand leading to harvesting most of the fossil fuels reserves, the world is facing a severe energetic and environmental challenge. Renewable energies represent a promising energy supply alternative with resources potentials exceeds the global projected energy demand. However, renewable energy resources are characterized by intermittent behavior hindering large scale utilization without high energy capacity and long discharge time energy storage solutions. On the other hand, CO2 emission reduction became a global challenge to avoid the dramatic consequences of global warming. Tackling the problem from the roots, in this work a merit process for conversion of carbon dioxide to sustainable energy carriers using renewable energy generated hydrogen was investigated. Mandating CHEMCAD® software for process simulation, methanol synthesis process with recycle loop was optimized
