Acute myeloid leukemia is a clonal haemopoietic disorder frequently associated with genetic instability . Polymorphisms in DNA repair enzymes are thought to increase the risk of development of AML . In our study we investigated 40 cases of AML and 37 controls for the polymorphism in DNA homologus recombination repair gene - RAD51 by PCR - RFLP
