Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Pedodontics Summary: The present study was planned to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) in management of traumatic dental injuries of primary teeth among intern dentists having their internship in Faculty of Dentistry- Cairo University and MSA University.This cross-section study was carried out on 500 intern dentists.Data were gathered through a questionnaire, which was divided into four parts, consisting of various open and close ended questions.In the present study, age, gender, university of graduation, year of graduation, training for dental emergency, their knowledge on dental emergency management, their need for future education, and ability to provide proper action when needed did not have any impact on adequacy of knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of intern dentists.Based on the results obtained from the present study, intern dentists showed inadequate level of knowledge regardless of university of graduation. Most of intern dentists are not qualified enough to manage traumatic dental injuries of primary teeth, and some have very weak and insufficient knowledge about the emergency management of this situation
