This thesis includes four chapters. The first chapter is an introduction which comprises the synthesis and cytotoxic activity of thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidines and selenophene containing heterocycles. The second chapter shows the objectives of the work and Schemes designed for the preparation of the target compounds. The third chapter includes the theoretical discussion of the experimental work, molecular modeling and results of cytotoxic activity. The fourth chapter studies the experimental part of this thesis which contains the detailed procedures used for the synthesis of the target compounds and intermediates. In addition, the physical properties of the synthesized compounds, their elemental analysis and spectral data are illustrated. Also, it demonstrates the docking steps of all compounds. It illustrates also in vitro cytotoxic activity of the synthesized compounds
