Background: Although osetoetomy was considered the gold standard of treatment for pathologic cases of knee deformities; it is associated with many complications. Hemiephyphiodesis using the 8-plate is a simple procedure with less morbidity, but its high cost restricts the use in developing countries. Reconstruction plate can be used instead of the 8 plate applying the same principles. Methods: This is a case series evaluating the efficacy and safety of using 3.5 mm Reconstruction plate in temporary hemiepiphysiodesis for correction of knee deformities. 15 patients with 20 deformed limbs were evaluated prospectively. Results: The mean age of cases at time of presentation was 8.7±3.3 years. The mean time of follow up was 15.9±4.5 months. The mean gain of correction was 7.6{u00B0} of mLDFA for 15.9 months and 10.2{u00B0} of MPTA for the same duration. 17 cases out of 20 were corrected (85%), 3 cases of 20 were partially corrected (15%). 2 cases developed wound infection (10%). 1 implant out of 26 was failed and needed revision (3.8%). Conclusions: Reconstruction plates are effective and safe in correcting the deformities with the advantage of being much cheaper and more widely available. By this way osteotomy had been avoided in 85% of cases
