An early childhood onset of type 1 diabetes was associated with differences in neuro- radiological structure and significant differences in intellectual performance in adulthood. The aim of this work is to assess the cognitive function and cerebral structure to children with type 1 diabetes 5 years after the onset of disease who are exposed to recurrent episodes of moderate and severe hypoglycemia
