Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Physics
In the present work the theory of nuclear reaction between heavy ions is considered in direct nuclear mechanism, the differential cross section for one single, two nucleon and particle transfer reactions are introduced. Distorted wave Born approximations are used to calculate the differential cross section, the interaction processes in the initial and final channels are described by the optical model potential. The real part of potential is taken by double folding model potential, the potentials were calculated by convoluting the M3Y effective nucleon {u2013}nucleon interaction. Different heavy ion reactions are considered with incident ion projectile ⁷Li, ¹¹B, ¹⁴N, ¹⁶O and ¹³C, bombarding the heavy ion target nuclei ¹⁵N ,¹¹B ,²⁶Mg , ¹²C , ²⁹Si ,³{u⁰⁰B⁰}Si , and ⁴{u⁰⁰B⁰}Ca . The incident projectiles heavy ion has energies between 34.5 Mev and 116 Mev for single nucleon transfer reaction. Different heavy ion reactions are considered with incident ions ¹²C ,¹⁴C,¹⁶O and ¹⁸O bombarding the heavy target nuclei ¹⁸O ,²⁶Mg ,²⁸Si ,⁴{u⁰⁰B⁰}Ca ,⁴²Ca , ⁴⁶Ca , ⁴⁸Ca , ⁶{u⁰⁰B⁰}Ni , ⁶⁴Ni , ⁷⁶Ge and ¹⁴⁴Nd ,the incident projectiles heavy ions have energies between 35 Mev and 86 Mev for two nucleon transfer reactions
