Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Astronomy and Meteorology Summary: The thesis discusses the properties of the late binary star systems W UMa types systems and their classifications to A- and W-subtypes for some of these contact binary star systems according to the assumptions first suggested by binnendijk (1965) on the basis of the morphology of the light curves and then continued by rucinski (1973, 1974) who employed the physical and geometrical parameters of these star types for that aim and followed him many investigators later too
