The aim of this work was to detect the placental changes with DM. Placentae were divided into three equal groups, 20 placentae each: Group (A); Control: normal placentae. Group (B); uncontrolled DM placentae. Group(C); controlled DM placentae. The placenta of group B tends to be larger and exhibits villous edema fibrosis, hypovascularization, infarctions, fibrinoid necrosis more than (A) and (C) groups
