Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Chemical Engineering Summary: This study aims to improve the performance of the process APCT used in the liquefaction of natural gas by changing the conventional mixed refrgerant (MR) composition - which is composed of nitrogen methane ethane and propane - via adding portion of components which have higher boiling temperatures such as ethylene and butanes where these components are featured with higher cooling effect and they also need less engergy in the required compression work appropriated to refrigeration cycles
