Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering
This research thesis presents the results of a study on the performance of concrete containing relatively high volume nano silica (up to 4.5%) exposed to severe conditions in order to evaluate the effect of exposure to extreme environmental loading like fire, and corrosion on the properties of nano silica concrete subjected to two different curing regimes (water, and lime curing). The results confirmed the ability of nano silica to enhance the mentioned properties due to the pozzolanic activity and filling effect of nano silica
