Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Nursing - Department of Pediatric Nursing Summary: Cleft of the lip and /or palate (CL/CP) are among the most commonly occurring congenital impairments and may affect an infant{u2019}s ability to feed, chew, breath and hear. As well as it causes disturbance to dental, facial, speech and language development and other possible consequences. Feeding the infant presents a challenge to nurses and parents. Growth failure in infants with CL/CP has been attributed to preoperative feeding difficulties. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the feeding patterns among infants with CL/CP. A descriptive exploratory design was conducted. A sample of convenient 60 mothers of infants with CL/CP at general surgical pediatric outpatient clinic, infant{u2019}s age ranged from birth up to one year diagnosed as cleft lip and/or palate were participated in the study
