MDM2 is a major negative regulator of P53 . P21 is a cell cycle checkoint gene functioning as a downstream effector of p53 . Gene polymorphisms have been implicated in cancer . The aim of this work is to study the frequency of MDM2 , P53 and P21 polymorphisms among AML patients referring to NCI and in apparently healthy controls
