It examines how the factors of mobility; personal factors, neighborhood factors, and policies, affect the movement of Syrians in Egypt on three different scales of study. It explores the different types of neighborhoods where Syrians reside in greater Cairo, studies 6th of October city as a host city for Syrian refugees and identifies the urban neighborhood characteristics of Masaken Othman and their effects on Syrian refugees life chances and movement decisions. The research shows that urban and architecture design has a role on the lives and movements of Syrians however that role alone can't explain the complex process of mobility
