Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Design and Production Summary: In this study, sensitivity method is adopted for the determination of blank shapes of complex deep drawn parts.The work is processed on 3 steps; the prediction of the initial blank shape, Using ABAQUS/CAE to simulate the forming process to determine the shape of the product after deformation, and finally, comparing the obtained deformed shape from FE to the required target product shape repeatedly until we reach optimum blank shape.The results were validated experimentally, and numerical simulations for some published products were compared. Strengths and weaknesses of the method are presented
