Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry
This thesis is concerned with the development of simple and accurate methods for the determination of some non- steroidal anti- inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in their pure and in pharmaceutical dosage forms. These drugs include ketorolac tromethamine, paracetamol and etodolac. Two HPLC methods using spectrophotometric detector for the determination of paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride, ambroxol hydrochloride and levoceterizine dihydrochloride in their quaternary mixture and for the determination of phenylephrine hydrochloride, chlorpheniramine maleate and ketorolac Tromethamine in their ternary mixture. Application of TLC densitometric method, chemometric methods and ratio difference spectrophotometric method for the determination of ketorolac tromethamine and moxifloxacin hydrochloride in their binary mixture. Application of first derivative ratio spectrophotometric method, chemometric methods and dual wavelength spectrophotometric method for the determination of paracetamol and etodolac in their binary mixture. The proposed methods were validated and statistically compared with reference methods where no significant difference was found
