Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Orthopedic Surgery Summary: The study included 22 patients, 12 females and 10 males in whom 36 feet were operated upon to correct symptomatic flexible flat foot. There were 14 bilateral cases and 8 unilateral cases. Family history was positive in 10 cases (3male and 6 female, 11 feet). The mean age at surgery was 10.4 years (range7 to 17). All cases were assessed clinivally, radiologicaly preoperatively and every 3 month after plaster removal for at least 8 months
