Since construction materials are derived from natural sources and waste product, it is required to measure the concentration of natural radionuclides, namely Uranium (²³⁸U) series, Thorium (²³²h) series and Potassium (⁴{u⁰⁰B⁰}K) and estimate radon emission from in order to control the natural radiation exposure for residents of dwellings. By using ANN technique two models are implemented to predict compressive strength, density, radon exhalation rate and radium equivalent of different types of concretes and to estimate radon concentration and radon doses rates inside a typical room built with different types of concrete , different bricks for wall construction and different flooring materials
