Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Agriculture - Department of Animal Production Summary: Data on Damascus goats collected between 2003 till 2010 at Walla Agriculture Research Station belongs to Ministry of Agriculture in Jordan were analyzed. This study investigated the effects of type of kidding, gender of kids, season and year of kidding and doe weight at kidding on kids BW , WW, W180, pre-weaning growth rate, post-weaning growth rate until age 180 days of age, LWB and LWW. All traits were analyzed by least squares fixed models procedures using the Generalized Linear Model procedure (SAS, 2009). Heritability estimates for the traits and their genetic correlations were also computed using the variance components procedure of VCE computer programme
