This work had been carried out to investigate the coordination behaviour of tenoxicam (Ten) as 1ry ligand and amino acids like L- valine and L- isoleucine as 2ry ligands towards Cr (III), Mn (II), Fe (III), Co (II), Ni (II), Cu (II) and Zn (II) ions and study their effects on the immune response in cattle. Ternary chelates of tenoxicam were prepared and the isolated solid products were subjected to different tools of analysis like elemental analysis (C, H, N, M and S), IR, molar conductance, magnetic measurements, electronic spectra, mass spectra and thermal analysis. The conductance data revealed that most of these chelates are ionic in nature and they have octahedral geometrical shape. The solution chemistry of tenoxicam ligand was studied and the molecular structure was optimized using molecular orbital calculations. Different thermodynamic parameters were calculated from the TG, DTG curves applying coast redfern method. X- ray powder diffraction was used to estimate the crystallinity and geometrical structures of chelates.
