Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Physics Summary: Carbon black-loaded rubber composites were prepared and subjected to different mechanical tests such as stress-strain characteristics and internal friction test. The host rubber material is natural rubber (NR) which loaded by different concentrations of carbon blacks; namely N220 and N774. The main goal of this thesis is how the type and/or concentration of carbon black can affect the mechanical and internal friction of the obtained composites. The study was also extended to two types of synthetic rubbers which are different in polarity; namely Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR-1502) and Butadiene Acrylonitrile Rubber(NBR)
