Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Biophysics Summary: Single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) in nuclear medicine is considered one of the greatest tools that support the diagnostic power of this physiological and biochemical imaging modality . By using SPECT the orgsan of interest can be visualized in 3D mode . But this important tool is suffering from some image degrading factors distort the imaging quality and introduce undesired qualitative and quantitative accuracy
