This research aims to provide a method for estimating the absorbed dose values for several organs inside a pediatric phantom in a computed tomography (CT) scanner. Thermoluminescent Dosimeters (TLDs) were used to measure the absorbed dose. The phantom was irradiated by using a Siemens CT scanner at 120 kVp and 60 mAs. The absorbed doses were also calculated by using Monte Carlo simulations (Geant4/GATE) in the same phantom to compare them with the measured doses. The results show good agreement between the two methods with percentage differences from 0.17% to 11.6%
