The aim of the study is to investigate adiponectin and resistin as non - invasive predictors of NAFLD . Fifty four obese patients ( BMI above 30 ) , with suspected fatty liver by abdominal ultrasound were subjected to the following : Full history taking and physical examination , full anthropometric measurements , laboratory studies including serum adiponectin and resistin , abdominal US and sonar - guided liver biopsy " for pathological examination and measuring adiponetin and resistin gene expression
