Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Analytical Chemistry Summary: This thesis deals with an analytical study of some drugs that acts on the central nervous system receptors, namely, dapoxetine hydrochloride, tadalafil, donepezil hydrochloride and memantine hydrochloride. The aim of this work is to develop different analytical methods which are characterized by simplicity, accuracy and appropriate degree of sensitivity for the analysis of the studied drugs in their powdered form, laboratory prepared mixtures and in their pharmaceutical dosage form. This thesis contains four parts in addition to the references and summaries in Arabic and English; Part I: General introduction and literature review Part II: Electrochemical methods for determination of dapoxetine hydrochloride and Donepezil hydrochloride as ion selective electrodes, conductometric titration and voltammetric methods.Part III: Chromatographic methods for simultaneous determination of dapoxetine hydrochloride / tadalafil and donepezil hydrochloride / memantine by thin layer chromatographic-spectrodensitometric,high performance liquid chromatographic methods and gas chromatography in pure form and in pharmaceutical formulation. Part VI: Spectrophotometric methods for simultaneous determination of dapoxetine hydrochloride / tadalafil in pure form and in pharmaceutical formulation. This thesis also contains 60 tables, 66figures and 272 references
