Myanmar has a long and rich tradition of literature, largely undiscovered by other countries due to the unavailability of translations. Here in this volume is a selection of short stories, ranging from one written in the 1930s to the present day. They cover a wide range of subjects but the common factor is that each gives a glimpse of the nature of the people of Myanmar, who are the true representatives of the country.
