Lactic acid bacteria have been widely used in the food industry for reduction and prevention of infectious disease in the gastrointestinal tract. This study investigated the potential effect of lactic acid bacteria isolated from dairy product on different Salmonella isolates. The inhibitory effect of lactic acid isolates on Salmonella isolates was studied using microtitre plate method. Extraction of peptide from lactic acid cell- free- extract was done using ammonium sulphate precipitation method and the potential effect of protein precipitate and supernatant on Salmonella isolates was investigated using microtitre plate method
