Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Physical Therapy - Department of Physical Therapy for Cardiopulmonary and Geriatrics Disorders Summary: Forty hepatic women patients with diabesity with age of 40 - 60 years were selected from the patients of out clinic of internal medicine department in Cairo University Hospitals for this study. Their body mass indexes were > 35 kg / m². The forty patients were classified into two groups; Each group consisted of twenty subjects. The first received a program of resisted exercise (50 minutes 3 times / week) with a low calorie diet (1500 cal / day); The second received the same low - calorie diet only without any exercise program. The biochemical changes in liver enzymes and insulin resistance were measured at the beginning of the study and after twelve weeks
